Sights & Attractions in Cozumel

Unless you want to stick around your hotel, or downtown San Miguel for your whole stay, renting a car or a scooter is a must. Many worthwhile sites, such the island's Mayan ruins, and pristine windward beaches are only readily accessible by motorized vehicle. Taxi fares on the island are astronomical, and after just a few trips even a slightly nicer rental car is a better deal.
