The former Plaza las Glorias has been transformed into this gorgeous all-inclusive hotel, part of the popular Palace Resorts chain. Within walking distance of San Miguel, the hotel faces the water but lacks a beach. Instead, an infinity pool seems to flow into the sea, and stairs lead from the property into a fairly good snorkeling area. Rooms are airy, white enclaves with double whirlpool tubs and hammocks on the balconies. The chain has vacation ownership and club programs, so you may feel a bit hassled by sellers.
