Playa Azul Golf and Beach Resort Review

Though some rooms have recently been renovated and feel bright and airy, most rooms in this resort are unremarkable, even though all are complete with terraces and face the ocean. Small palapas shade lounge chairs on the beach, and you can arrange snorkeling and diving trips at the hotel's own dock. This is the best place on the island for golf, and greens fees are included in the room rates. The hotel also sponsors an annual golf tournament. Some guests hit the course daily, often with the hotel's owners. Off the links, a freestanding spa at the entrance offers body and beauty treatments. The all-inclusive meals option, though no bargain, includes the restaurant's à la carte menu, too. The beach club next door serves excellent ceviche and sandwiches and has live salsa on Sunday afternoons.
