Though it's practically across the street from the airport and a 10-minute drive from the waterfront, this small inn garners raves from return guests. It's the kind of place where everybody knows your name and will do whatever it takes to make you feel at home (like running to the corner market to get you a cold beer). The rooms are thoughtfully equipped with small desks, fridges, and lots of shelves for your belongings. Despite the low room rates, the sheets are soft and the towels fluffy. A jug of purified water, pot of coffee, and basket of snacks sit on a counter near a wide-screen TV in the lobby beside a narrow pool. Guests particularly like the sense of authenticity in the surrounding neighborhood, with its taco stands, small markets, and abundant inexpensive restaurants.
