Part of an 1800s hacienda, this hotel couldn't be more charming. Enter through the massive stone gate and you'll see the estate's chapel, now a museum with 17th-century religious art. Each of the eight rooms is regally appointed; one even has a bed whose canopy is held aloft by a crown. The restaurant ($-$$), on a terrace overlooking the mountains, serves excellent dishes like crema de chipilín (cream soup made with a local herb). Top off your visit to Chinkultik with the fixed-price, three-course lunch. Pros: Thoughtful, extra touches, chapel on property is quite amazing. Cons: Pricey for the area.
