Paradisus Playa del Carmen Review

This Playa all-inclusive offers flash and class in a Vegas-meets-cruise ship environment with 14 restaurants, 11 bars, and nearly 1,000 rooms scattered between two buildings. Family-friendly La Esmeralda has four categories of rooms, each with marble floors, stocked minibars, flat-screen TVs, and little extras for the kids like Play Stations, mini bathroom amenities, and nightly turndown with milk and cookies. The pool area looks more like a water park, as compared to the neighboring adults-only La Perla. For those who want extra pampering, the Royal Service package includes a personal 24-hour butler, a designated pool area, and private Jacuzzis. The two resorts are connected by way of the restaurants and bars; however, certain establishments are open to La Perla guests only, who pay higher rates. The food at Passion restaurant by chef Martin Berasategui is very good.
