From the street-level bistro, a dramatic staircase leads to a small cocktail bar and dining room overlooking Fifth Avenue. A stone waterfall is the focal point in the dining room illuminated by wrought-iron chandeliers, where the open layout provides nearly every table with a breeze from the water. Start with the crispy scallops marinated in lime and served over Champagne risotto. Among other menu favorites are sesame-seared blue-fin tuna with portobello mushrooms, and
cocinita pibil ravioli, a lighter take on Yucatecan achiote-roasted pork. Remarkably flavorful short ribs are cooked for eight hours in black beer, Dijon mustard, red wine, and honey.
