This funky café serves Akumal's best breakfast, with a vast menu spanning acai bowls, eggs Benedict, pancakes, and fruit plates. For lunch and dinner, you'll find blackened fish tacos, lamb burgers, and vegetable wraps. Set back from the little plaza, the garden is a pleasant place to sit and drink coffee (there's also free Wi-Fi), and its location by the ecological center makes it the closest thing Akumal has to a downtown. Smoothies, homemade ice cream, and fresh-baked goods like the chocolate peanut-butter cheesecake are tempting. If you fall in love with a local stray, the owner has set up an animal rescue program that will ship a pet directly to your home. The restaurant is open until 9 pm.
