Zamas Review

On the wild Punta Piedra (Rock Point), this hotel has rustic, freestanding bungalows with palapa roofs and ocean views as far as the eye can see. The cabanas—with mosquito nets over comfortable beds, tile bathrooms, and bright Mexican colors—are nicely distanced from one another. Each comes with a safe and bottled water, but as Tulum's oldest hotel, this no-frills property is a step behind the competition when it comes to luxury. The restaurant, known for its powerful margaritas, has an eclectic Italian-Mexican-Yucatecan menu and great pizza, with romantic views over the coast.
