Restaurante Oscar y Lalo Review

Though technically in Tulum, this wonderful palapa restaurant with a pebble floor and a peaceful garden is actually a couple of miles outside Tankah, alone on Carretera 307. The seafood is excellent here, although a bit pricey. Lalo's Special, a dish made with local lobster, shrimp, conch, and fish, and the chicken fajitas, prepared for 2 to 10 people, are standouts. The ceviche made of fresh fish and lobster, and the caracol (snails) with citrus juice are also exceptional.

    Oscar Y Lalo Excellent Food

They do take credit cards. Thank you for the review of Oscar y Lalo's. We read your review and decided to visit Oscar y Lalos on our trip to Mexico. It was diffidently the best meal we had in Mexico. We ordered the Lalo's Special per your review and it is defiantly a standout as you stated. It was the most delicious Seafood I have ever tasted. The Lobster and shrimp was succulent the conch tasted like Abalone and the plate was very big, the Ceviche made of fresh Caracol was to die for. I will diffidently return here. They also have Huge Fresh Fruit (Mango, Strawberry and Cha) Margaritas. All three are very good my husband and I had them all. I love the Cha it is exceptional. Apparently they are very healthy for you, all ingredients are fresh and natural the host told me. They have moved on the main Hwy 307. They have a beautiful Garden setting and waterfalls. Wild birds’ singing it was just perfect and very romantic. I am dreaming of the Lalo Special. I am a diver and live in California, so I am VERY picky regarding seafood. Oh they also do tours. We went on an all day tour for only $75.00. The other tour companies charge $120.00 for the same Tour. We had an excellent time. Virginia was our host and she was an Angel apparently the Romano Family has been in the area since 1982 and a book was written about Don Lalo the owner who discovered the city of Cheymuyil.
