Omni Cancún Hotel & Villas Review

After undergoing a $17 million renovation in 2007, this 12-story hotel has definitely moved up a notch or two in Cancún's hotel hierarchy. Each standard room has a balcony with built-in benches, a marble bathroom, flat-screen TV, and radio with an MP3 docking station. If you decide to splurge on one of the three-floor villas that surround the hotel, you will not be disappointed. They each have a sunken living room, fully equipped kitchen, sun terrace off the third-floor bedroom, and parking space right outside. Your stay here will not be complete without paying a visit to the huge, adults-only hot-tub area with a swim-up sushi bar. If you'd rather be dry when drinking, then grab a table at the lobby bar and try one of the delicious martinis that are the house specialty. There are four handicapped-accessible rooms here.

Relaxing in Sheer Paradise Again

I've been in the travel business since 1978 and I've been all over the world to many resorts for business and pleasure. When I say the Omni is very unique from all this rest; it is!! I just came back from my 5th trip last week. I thought nothing could be better then the four previous. Well, I was wrong.
The Omni welcomes you with happy smiles. As usual all the services are outstanding; whether you're in the dining rooms, the lobby, the bars, the pools, the beaches, or housekeeping. They are the most caring people I have ever met and I think it just comes naturally.
You can have breakfast in the main dining room with many choices or down on the beach at Pina Coladas with a breath taking view of the ocean. You can have lunch poolside, in the main dining room, or over looking the ocean with many delicious choices. They have super entertainment poolside everyday where you play games and win prizes.
Now, I save the best for last: Dinner at Da Vinci's is superb. The menu is outstanding and the presentation is unbelievable. You must go there just for their desserts. They are so unique and delicious. You can also have dinner in the main dining room which has a menu and many special theme nights. When I made dinner reservations for DaVinci's I told them it was my husbands birthday. They came out singing Happy Birthday with a special cake.
Another night I didn't tell them it was my 45th anniversary; but someone did. They made a special cake for us also. When I went back to my room I was so surprised when I opened the door and saw how they decorated our room for our anniversary. It was so beautiful, it brought tears to my eyes. I thought I was back on my honeymoon. I never felt so special before.
They all go above and beyond the call of duty. It doesn't matter where your room is; they all have beautiful views and are super clean. I'd to thank Monica and Leticia for making all the beautiful arrangements. I never look foward to leaving; but then I think I'll be back next year.
