Boating and Sailing
There are lots of ways to get your adrenaline going on the waters of Cancún. You can arrange to go parasailing (about $50 for 10 minutes), waterskiing ($70 per hour), or Jet Skiing ($70 per hour, or $80 for Wave Runners). Paddleboats, kayaks, catamarans, and banana boats are readily available, too. Jungle boat tours, which usually last from 2 to 2½ hours, are also popular for around $60 per person.
AquaWorld. AquaWorld rents boats and water toys like Aqua Twister, a high-speed boat that fishtails 270 degrees. They also offer parasailing and submarine tours. Blvd. Kukulcán, Km 15.2, Zona Hotelera, Cancún, Quintana Roo, 77500. 998/848–8327. www.aquaworld.com.mx.
El Embarcadero. The marina complex at Playa Linda, El Embarcadero is the departure point for ferries to Isla Mujeres and several tour boats. Blvd. Kukulcán, Km 4, Zona Hotelera, Cancún, Quintana Roo, 77500. 998/849–7343.
Marina Barracuda. Marina Barracuda rents out Wave Runners and offers daily jungle tours ($66), as well as charter boats (starting at $200 an hour) and big game fishing trips (starting at $440 for four hours) for parties of six.
