This traditional, Mexican-style inn has been converted into a charming 15-room guesthouse. An iron gate leads off a busy street into a courtyard, delightfully landscaped with plants, flowers, and a tile fountain. Breakfast is served in a lower-level restaurant, creatively designed with arched doorways, brick walls, and wrought-iron chandeliers, giving it an intimate wine-cellar atmosphere. Upstairs, many of the large, airy rooms have Mexican rustic furniture and Talavera ceramics. An art gallery, small café, reading lounge, and business center have recently been added to the property. The helpful staff embraces the mi casa es su casa mentality and offers expert advice on the area. You may have trouble finding the place since the hotel sign actually reads "Suites El Patio."
