Book NowThe Westin Resort & Spa Cancún Review
On the southern end of the Zona Hotelera, this hotel is quite secluded; you'll get privacy, but have to drive to get to shops and restaurants. Subtle hints of pampering are what make this hotel so extraordinary, like the white tea mist that periodically sprays in the lobby and the "heavenly beds," so luxurious that many guests purchase them for their homes. Inside the resort, the modern is juxtaposed with the traditional, as sleek dark-wood furniture is offset by brightly colored rugs and the occasional blue or yellow wall. There are two beaches here—an expansive one on the Caribbean side and a smaller one facing Laguna Nichupté—so guests always have a place to sunbathe. Due to the quiet, isolated nature of the resort, it mainly attracts families with small children and adults in their 30s and 40s. This resort is one of the few in Cancún that allow pets.

The staff was rude....especially at the front counter. The rooms were smelt of mildew, and all the lamps on the ground were rusted and leaking on the floor. The bedside lamp was completely broken. The beach was pretty, but the rooms were bad.

Great service; nice location; beach was gorgeous (not eroded as mentioned in Fodors Book). We had a very pleasant stay. Easy to take bus or taxi into downtown Cancun. Not a lot of variety for restaurants. Nice room.
