Playa Tiburon, like Playa Lancheros, is on the west coast facing Bahía de Mujeres, and so its waters are also exceptionally calm. It's a more developed beach with a large, popular seafood restaurant (through which you actually enter the beach). There are several souvenir stands selling the usual T-shirts as well as handmade seashell jewelry. On certain days there are women who will braid your hair or give you a temporary henna tattoo. This beach also has two sea pens with the sleepy and relatively tame nurse sharks. You can have a low-key and very safe swim with these sharks—and get your picture taken doing so—for $2.

This place has some of the best food that I have eaten! They are simple dishes but are heaven on earth! The nachos are amazing and they grill a whole fish that is seasoned with spices that is to die for!!! They have hotdogs and burgers too. We can eat while our daughter plays on the beach. They have great views of Cancun from the patio. You can swim with the nurse sharks or just hang out on the beach. Whatever you choose, you will not be disappointed. Go check it out!!'
