Bullfighting in Cancún and Isla Mujeres

The Cancún bullring (Av. Bonampak, a block from Blvd. Kukulcán, Sm 4. 998/884-8372 or 998/884-8248), a block south of the Pemex gas station, hosts year-round bullfights. A matador, charros (Mexican cowboys), a mariachi band, and flamenco dancers entertain during the hour preceding the bullfight. There are also contests held that involve the spectators, such as playing soccer with a baby bull. Tickets cost about $40. Events begin at 3:30 PM every Wednesday.
