Getting Here and Around

If you're staying here, hotel transfers from the Aeropuerto Internacional de Los Cabos, just outside San José del Cabo, typically cost about $100 each way in an eight-person van. Los Barriles is a stop on half of Los Cabos-La Paz bus routes, those that travel via Highway 1. (The other half that travel via Highway 19 and Todos Santos do not pass through.) The dirt streets mean that nearly everyone gets around by ATV. A couple of firms in town rent the vehicles. ATVs are fraught with risks if you are an inexperienced driver. Use utmost caution.
