This Mexican-style restaurant under a huge palapa offers simple food in a simple atmosphere. Tables and chairs are made of plastic and beneath your feet is a plain dirt floor. The service is as laid back as the atmosphere. If the restaurant is full and you order anything more elaborate than a beer, expect a decent wait. Mario's also offers three-hour whale-watching tours, leaving at 8 AM and at 11 AM daily during whale season. These tours don't fill up as fast as others in town, and they are a great option if you didn't reserve in advance elsewhere for your tour.
