It seems that the further south you go, from lobster tacos and quesadillas to fish tostadas, the more seafood there is. Eat your fill at the inexpensive (but delicious) small street stands or in the finer restaurants—either way you won't be disappointed. It's so readily available that on your way in and out of restaurants, you may even see local fishermen pulling bags of fresh seafood out of coolers to sell to the chefs. If you feel up to it, you could even negotiate to buy some from them to prepare on your own. If you're hankering for a steak, many restaurants also offer some beef options, but it's usually not prepared as well as the fish.
