Advance reservations are advised for the Christmas period and Semana Santa. On the long weekend marking Independence Day (September 16) it's often hard to get a room in Cuernavaca or Valle de Bravo. You should also make reservations if you plan to visit Cuetzalan during the town's fair during the first week of October.
