When to Go
Tegucigalpa, nestled in the mountains at 3,300 feet, has one of those proverbial, pleasant "eternal spring" climates. The city enjoys warm afternoons that fade into cool evenings. Expect rain for a couple of hours most afternoons from May through October; showers become more prolonged as the rainy season progresses. The rains dissipate by November, and you'll encounter brisk weeks until after Christmas. Things begin to warm up by January, and March and April are the hottest months of the year.
