Jungle Lodge Review

Built 50 years ago to house archaeologists working at Tikal, this hotel has cute duplexes with porches but not much privacy. The bungalows are spacious, with double beds and tile floors. There are whirling ceiling fans, but the generator is shut off from 11 pm to 5 am, so you may be hot at night. Two new suites have king beds and whirlpool baths. If your budget allows, choose one of the bungalows or suites. The restaurant ($$) was rebuilt in late 2006, and serves unremarkable food, though in a pleasant dining room.

    Hotel Details
