After hiking through the jungle, you'll love returning to this charming cluster of bungalows, which feel almost subterranean with their rock walls and earthen tones. This upscale eco-lodge's goal is to disturb the environment as little as possible, so the buildings are constructed of stone and wood left behind by farmers clearing land for fields and are made in the Colojché style, involving a plaster of sand and water. The common areas, including a massive kitchen downstairs and an airy bar and reading room upstairs, are delightful. Dinner can be arranged by reservation. Ni'tun also runs Monkey Eco Tours, so you can choose from itineraries ranging from one-day trips to nearby villages to a seven-day journey to El Mirador. It's easiest to get here by boat (a 20-minute trip) from Flores. The lodge is also associated with ARNPG, the Association of Natural Private Reserves of Guatemala.
