Juan Santamaría Museum Review
Juan Santamaría's heroic deeds are celebrated in the Juan Santamaría Museum (Museo Juan Santamaría) housed in the old jail, one block north of Parque Central. It's worth a short look if you have the time; Santamaría's story is an interesting one. Following the lead of the Teatro Nacional in San José, the museum holds a series of weekly concerts called Música al Mediodía ("Music at Noon") each Thursday from February to mid-December. Admission is $2.
