The best place to buy local coffee is where 800 farmers bring their raw coffee beans to be roasted and packed into jute bags. This is the first carbon-neutral coffee producer in the world. You can buy three dozen different coffee beverages and export-quality coffee at the shop for about $16 per kilo (2.2 pounds). Choose between light or dark roast and en grano (whole bean) or molido (ground). A variety of tours are offered ($19 to $32), covering everything from processing to tasting to the cooperative's innovative recycling. The classic two-hour Coffee Experience tour ($22), which reveals the process from bean to bag, is offered weekdays 7–5, and weekends by appointments. Check out the website for details of tours or e-mail email@example.com to make reservations.
