Another perennially popular surfer hangout, this casual place has the advantage of being right across from the beach, although the surrounding buildings make the neighborhood pretty shabby. Fresh-baked baguette sandwiches are stuffed with interesting combinations; the grilled chicken, avocado, tomato, and mozzarella California sandwich is the most popular. Light eaters can buy half a sandwich. Fresh-fish specials, notably the popular fish tacos, and typical Mexican fare round out the casual menu. The margaritas are excellent, along with flavored daiquiris.
