Café de la Suerte

Café de la Suerte Review

Fortunately for food lovers, the "Good Luck Café" serves truly astonishing vegetarian food from 7:30 to 5 that even a carnivore could love, along with intriguing exotic juice combinations and thick fruit smoothies. The homemade yogurt is a revelation: light, almost fluffy, and full of flavor. The Israeli owners serve it over a cornucopia of exotic fruits, sprinkled with their own granola, and mix it into refreshing fruit-flavor lassis (a yogurt-base drink from India). Healthful sandwiches are heavy on excellent hummus, and hot daily specials might include curried hearts of palm. Don't leave without buying a fudgy brownie or a brown-sugar oatmeal square for the road. Bring your laptop and use their Wi-Fi—the fee of $1 an hour is donated to the local school.
