Restaurant Sol y Mar Review
On a breezy porch with a palm-fringed beach view, this thatch-roofed restaurant has the most ambitious food in Zancudo, with an eclectic menu of continental chicken in a brandy cream sauce, spicy quesadillas and burritos, and fresh fish with an array of exotic sauces. There's a touch of Thai here, too; one of the most popular dishes is mahimahi in a coconut-curry sauce. The hearty bar food includes typical rings and wings, as well as more interesting Bangkok tacos: spicy pork and rice wrapped in cabbage leaves. There are barbecue specials on Monday and Friday night. Desserts are decadent and delicious, including a standout carrot cake. Breakfasts are huge and hearty, ranging from healthy granola to giant burritos.
