Diquis del Sur Botanical Garden & Inn Review
At this ideal—and affordable—tropical retreat for the winter-weary, five bungalows are sprinkled around lush grounds with views of both mountains and ocean. The garden is full of mature fruit trees and flowering shrubs, many with botanical labels, and visited by fruit-loving birds. Each bungalow has two units, some with kitchens and air-conditioning and others with only a fan, but shade trees keep them all cool. Owners Renée and Pierre Beaupré, originally from Québec, are just as delighted as their guests to be in this "earthly paradise," and their enthusiasm shows in the welcome you'll receive. The full breakfast is French inspired—crepes, French toast, omelets—and is served in a thatch-roof dining room overlooking an inviting pool with a waterfall.
