Fodor's Review

Look closely at the extensive menu here: there are 40 varieties of the capital's best thin-crust pizza, and no one will rush you if you spend time pondering what you want. This lively two-level restaurant rounds out its offerings with a complete selection of pastas. You can dine until midnight daily, except on Sunday, when you'll have to finish dinner by 10 pm. The Pizza Allessandre—topped with prosciutto, mozzarella, and olives—is the most popular dish, and for good reason. Pane e Vino has become a small chain—it's even expanded to Ecuador—but this is the original of its several Costa Rican locations.
