Fodor's Review:

Home of the Howler, a spicy shot of tequila laced with jalapeño and habañero peppers, with a chaser of tomatoey sangrita, this popular hangout with a concrete floor and old wooden tables is created in the image of a grubby Mexican restaurant. The meals are authentic and tasty, especially the fajitas in clay dishes with your choice of chicken, beef, shrimp, or pulpo (octopus). Along with its excellent margaritas, the bar is famous for its cool jazz and blues recordings, as well as owner Luis, king of the local karaoke scene.
