This idyllic resort south of Tambor was featured on the TV series Temptation Island. The 150-acre grounds include a nine-hole golf course, exuberant gardens, tropical forests, and stunning Playa Quitzales, a beach lined with coconut palms and lush foliage. Colorful villas with two to five bedrooms and ample porches overlook the beach. Smaller suites are housed in raised octagonal wooden bungalows with whirlpool tubs and ocean views. The standard rooms are in a three-story cement building that is a stone's throw from the surf. Two restaurants serve Costa Rican and Continental cuisine. On-site activities include horseback riding, hiking through a nature reserve, and yoga.
