Miss Edith is revered for her flavorful Caribbean cooking, vegetarian meals, and herbal teas for whatever ails you. Back in the old days, she served on her own front porch; she's since moved to more ample surroundings on an easy-to-miss side street at the north end of town. A bit of the mystique disappeared with the move, but her made-to-order dishes—rondón (stew of vegetables and beef or fish) and spicy jerk chicken—are good no matter where they are served. You can get breakfast (except Sunday), and with advance notice Miss Edith will even give you a half-day cooking lesson.
