Fodor's Review:

Ticos are drawn to Golfito's duty-free bargains on such imported items as TV sets, stereos, tires, wine, and liquor. To shop at the Depósito Libre you have to spend the night in Golfito, because you have to register in the afternoon with your passport to shop the next morning. Shopping is sheer madness in December. It's closed on Mondays.
