Tortilla Flats

Fodor's Review:

Another popular surfer hangout, this place has the advantage of being right across from the beach. Fresh-baked baguette sandwiches are stuffed with interesting combinations; the grilled chicken, avocado, tomato, and mozzarella is the most popular. Light eaters can buy half a sandwich. Fresh-fish specials and typical Mexican fare round out the casual menu. The margaritas are excellent, and ladies drink free anise-and-guaro (sugarcane liquor) shots on Thursday nights. Upstairs there's a new air-conditioned billiard room with a beach view.
