The best -- and cheapest -- place to buy local coffee is where the farmers themselves bring their raw coffee beans to be roasted and packed into jute bags, the. You can buy export-quality coffee here for less than $8 per kilo (2.2 pounds). Choose between en grano (whole bean) or molido (ground), and between light or dark roast. It's open Monday to Saturday 8 to 6, Sunday 8 to 1. You can also arrange for a tour ($12) of the coffee co-op by calling ahead.
