¢, Tortuguero
Fodor's Review:
The best of the in-town hotels is a real find. Canadian owner and naturalist Daryl Loth is a respected authority on all things Tortuguero, and one of the community's biggest boosters. If he's unable to take you out in his boat himself, he'll find someone who can. Immaculate rooms have tile floors and varnished-wood finishing with vaulted ceilings and skylights in the bathrooms. Ample breakfasts are served on the covered back patio facing the lodging's own private canal dock. The terrace is also a relaxing place for a coffee break on a rainy afternoon. There's a small kitchenette for your use.
