Brasilito

Fodor's Review:

A small, scruffy fishing village just 1 km (½ mi) north of Conchal, Brasilito has ramshackle houses huddled around its main square, which doubles as the soccer field. It's cluttered, noisy, and totally Tico, a lively contrast to the controlled sophistication of Playa Conchal. Fishing boats moor just off a wide beach, about 3 km (2 mi) long, with golden sand flecked with pebbles and a few rocks. The surf is a little stronger here than at Flamingo Beach but the shallow, sandy bottom keeps it swimmable. The beach fronting the town of Brasilito has a few casual marisquerias (seafood eateries) and a couple of notable restaurants.
