Established in 1960, Los Anonos expanded from its original rustic collection of deep booths with wooden benches to add a more elegant room decorated with historic photos. It is a popular spot with Costa Rican families on weekend nights and business executives on weekdays, who come for the economical three-course lunches. The best bet is the grilled meat, and there is plenty to choose from, including imported U.S. beef and less expensive Tico cuts. Fresh fish, shrimp, and half a dozen salads are other choices.
