Trendy, right down to its small art gallery and whimsical restrooms, this restaurant in a restored Barrio Amón mansion is the place to see and be seen, and is one of the few upscale places in town to grab a very late night bite. The term "fusion cuisine" really does apply here: Le Cordon Bleu-trained chef Camille Ratton-Pérez takes French and Costa Rican cuisine and spices it with Thai and Middle Eastern influences. Top off your meal with a Cahuita caramelo, a scrumptious chocolate-banana-butterscotch concoction or tarte tatin (caramelized apple tart). If you can't decide, go for the paleta Bakea, a dessert sampler platter.
