The 1871 Atlantic Railway Station, which once bustled with passengers leaving and arriving on trains to and from Limón, has been converted into an interactive sound and space museum. Exhibits are labeled in Spanish; you wouldn't get much out of them without a knowledge of the language. In back are a couple of former trains that once served the Caribbean route. A bust outside honors Tomás Guardia, one of the few dictators in this country's history. He launched construction of the railroad.
