Secluded at the beach's southern end, far from Jacó's crowds, Club del Mar is the area's priciest option. In the main building, above the restaurant, bar, and reception, standard green-and-cream-hued rooms have private teak balconies with screen doors that keep the sea breeze circulating. Comfortable condos, clustered in two-story buildings amid massive trees and verdant lawns, are considerably nicer. One- and two-bedroom apartments have abundant windows, modern kitchens, and pleasant furnishings; two-bedroom condos are a bargain for two couples. The nicest condos are those nearest the sea (Nos. 13-16); those farthest back suffer from highway noise. Las Sandalias restaurant serves some of the area's finest food.
