The coolest dining in Coco is this breezy, pleasant patio restaurant just steps from the beach, specializing in Peruvian seafood dishes. The same family has had a beachfront restaurant here since 1954, but the old place was demolished to make room for the beach boardwalk in 2011. This new incarnation offers seating on a wooden deck, where you can watch fishing boats bobbing in the bay. The updated menu wows with Peruvian chaufa, rice and shrimp spiced with Japanese flavors, and a Peruvian-style chunky ceviche. Desserts include flans, flambéed Bananas Foster, and key-lime pie. The wine list is notable for a wide range of Spanish and Italian wines, some available by the glass.
