Guanacaste and the Nicoya Peninsula Restaurants

Playa Langosta Beach Club

Updated 04/14/2014

Fodor's Review

Looking for romance with spectacular food that matches the ambience? This beach club/restaurant/lounge/jazz club is the most romantic and the most sophisticated dining spot on the beach. At dinner, tables set with white linens and candles are arranged under swaying palms around two glowing pools, while the sound of waves breaking on the beach blends with the very cool soft-jazz sound track. Start with a lobster and mango salad or a flaky pastry nest filled with goat cheese

and spinach. Move on to a divine fillet of sole bathed in a velvety, peppery champagne cream sauce. There's a good wine list and light, refreshing Spanish wines by the glass. For dessert, try the caramelized apple crepes with honey and ice cream. Live sunset jazz starts at 7 on Sunday. At lunch, the menu features panini, fresh tuna salad, lobster, and mussels with french fries. You can work off your meal at the attached fitness center for $10 per day.
