This quintessential beach bar is a shack with a covered deck and a view of the entire sweep of Playa Potrero. From a nearby souvenir stand, wind chimes tinkle in the constant breeze. The kitchen serves up fairly basic bar fare and some fresh seafood such as rice with shrimp, and a grilled mahimahi sandwich. The fish tacos are outstanding—breaded strips of fish smothered in lettuce, tomato, and refried beans and encased in both a crisp taco and a soft tortilla shell. Wednesday is ladies' night, when the joint really jumps and a DJ plays dance music. The place is decorated with old surfboards, rusty U.S. license plates, and wall murals. It's open noon to 9 or 10 daily.
