Fodor's Review

With just a few rooms on the quiet, southern end of the beach, this friendly, family-run beachfront place is one of Tamarindo's most secluded lodging options. Two cabinas on the beach have sleeping areas separated by 1½-meter-high (5-foot-high) walls from living rooms with futon couches and kitchenettes. Narrow front terraces have ocean views through a high iron fence—security first—with hammocks hung between the trees on the other side of the gate. Behind those bungalows is a small tile pool hemmed by gardens, and the casita, which occupies the ground floor of the building that holds the owners' apartment. Though less private than the cabinas, the casita is slightly larger, with two futon couches, a kitchen, and glass doors that open onto the pool area. There's also a budget-option, studio apartment overlooking the front driveway. Several restaurants and a supermarket are within walking distance. The owner also has a four-bedroom, ocean-view house for rent nearby.
