Getting Here and Around

From a high point in La Cruz, the road to Salinas descends both in altitude and condition. It's only 15 km (9 miles) southwest to Hotel Ecoplaya Beach Resort, but after the first 2 km (1 miles) of paved road, the rest of the road varies from bad to worse, so it may take up to 45 minutes or an hour. Signs direct you to Puerto Soley and El Jobo, an end-of-the-road hamlet, about 2 km (1 mile) past the turnoff for Ecoplaya. Playa Copal is about 13 km (8 miles) along the same road from La Cruz.
