Sámara has miles of palm-shaded beach, safe swimming water, and an abundance of budget accommodations and seafront restaurants, making it especially popular with budget travelers, both Tico and foreign. almond trees that line the beach, so be sure to look both ways when you move between the surf and the town. Like nearby Nosara, Sámara is becoming more nature-and health-conscious, with a weekly farmers’ market featuring organic produce, Tuesday, 8 to 11 am, along with goat and cow cheeses, kombucha (a probiotic brewed tea), artisanal breads, local honey, salsas, and jellies. Friday, from 2 to 5:30 pm, there's another market selling mostly baked goods and handicrafts.
