Punta Islita

Punta Islita is named for a tiny tuft of land that becomes an island at high tide. It's synonymous in Costa Rica with Hotel Punta Islita, one of the country's most exclusive, luxurious, and gorgeous resorts, popular with honeymooners and romantics of any age. Just about everything in Punta Islita—from outdoor activities to food—revolves around, and is available through, this resort. Just uphill from the beach, the small village of Punta Islita is an artistic work in progress, thanks to a community art project led by a few renowned Costa Rican artists who have turned almost all the buildings into galleries, workshops, or works of art themselves.
