Palo Verde National Park

Definitely not most people’s idea of a lush, tropical jungle, Palo Verde National Park’s deciduous forest is hot, but also very dry and an ideal habitat for easy-to-spot monkeys, deer, peccaries, and lizards. Seasonal wetlands the size of lakes attract waterfowl by the thousands, as well as the photographers who come to shoot the grand avian spectacle.
